We have been searching for a program, to help lead worship in small groups, worship team, etc. A few things we were looking for:
1. A program to build a song list
2. Must be able to print out just the words or the words with chords
3. We would like to be able to transpose songs easily
4. It would be able to use it with a projector if possible for future use.
5. We would like a variety of printing options.
6. We would like to work with both Macintosh and PC formats
7. To be able to import files already typed in our computers would be best.

After considering a program for $400 - $500 we have found a FREE program that met all 7 criteria and have programed in nearly 300 of our songs old and new that we use at VCC.

Whether you are involved in helping lead music in home groups, Sunday mornings, youth,or for personal worship, take the time to use this and it should be very helpful to you.

One thing I ask: Since we are attempting to complete a master database that would be helpful to all churches, please email me the txt file of any song that you add. In this way we will be able to put this and all songs on our church website for people from our church and others to update their songs without having to type them in. Also if you type in a song you can be doing it not only for yourself, but for other churches and ministries.

1. Just install the program (it is a small file) (If you want Macintosh version you need OS 10.3 or above)
2. drag the file "VCC SONGS" to your desktop. It is a zip file and you need to decompress this file.
   
3. open the program and go to the pulldown menu to select OPTIONS/SET PATH TO SONGS. You need to navigate to your
4. Go to desktop and select the folder "VCC Songs" and click "choose". This instructs the program to load the songs in this folder.
5. Go to OPTIONS/GENERAL and select go to the SONG EDITOR and navigate to your WORDPAD or similar text editor program and select. This will enable you to edit or add new songs to the program
6. A SONGSHEET GENERATOR HELP will also be installed in the program. Go through this to learn to edit, transpose, arrange songs lists, print out songs in a variety of formats with or without chords, etc.
